Huawei Technologies announced that on November 5, 2004, it was awarded the contract to supply Korea Telecom Corp. (KT) with next-generation Internet equipment. KT Corp. selected Huawei Technologies' multi-service provisioning platform (MSPP) for its next-generation optical network, which is also known as South Korea's first NG-SDH 2.5G/10G backbone network contract, and makes Huawei Technologies a mainstream supplier of NG-SDH equipments for KT Corp.
