BES taps Alloptic to supply Australian FTTH project.(AUSTRALIA)(Broadcast Engineering and Services)(Brief Article)

Broadcast Engineering and Services (BES), a fiber-optic network provider in Australia, has selected Alloptic, a provider of Gigabit Ethernet Passive Optical Networks (GEPON) platforms, as the preferred vendor for BES's FTTH network serving estate developments near the city of Perth. According to a press release, BES expects to bring 4,000 FTTH customers online by the end of 2007.
