China-based Huawei Technologies has decided to add one more dimension to its business. The company, apart from manufacturing telecommunications equipment, will now take up the role of what it calls the technical aggregator. According to Che Haiping, president of Huawei's Service and Software division, his company will help the service operators integrate applications with content.

Since the telecommunications and information technology are gradually integrating, it is imperative that the company changes its focus to maintain profitability. While the number of telecom services is increasing, newer technologies are introduced in a short span of time.
