SingTel to offer expanded Internet services to corporations and SMEs.(service enhancement of Singapore Telecommunications Ltd)(Brief article)

Singapore's leading telecom firm, SingTel, revealed its plans to invest $63 million in the next couple of years to develop Internet services for its commercial users. According to a Channel NewsAsia, the carrier hopes to become the leading Internet service provider for corporations in the Asia-Pacific region by 2009.
Currently, SingTel has about 9.5 percent market share in the region's VPN market, and the company is working on ways to expand its network infrastructure and portfolio of services. It has identified telecom operations in foreign shores, corporate VoIP market, managed communications, and IT services to SMEs in Singapore as future growth areas.
