SingTel signs Consilient for mobile push email to all consumers.(Singapore Telecommunications Ltd., Consilient Technologies)(Brief article)

Consilient announced that Singapore Telecommunications Limited (SingTel) has selected Consilient Push email solution to provide push email to above 1.2 million subscribers. The product will be launched in July 2006. It marks the first Asian mobile email product based on open standards. Open standards refer to the feature of Consilient mobile phone to be interoperable with many phone and email systems delivering service to users. The name will be changed from PUSH-IMAP (P-IMAP) to Mobile Email Enabler (MEM). It will be first offered on Nokia handsets.
