KDDI Corp. gains 325,000 new subscribers during November 2006.(JAPAN)(Brief article)(Statistical data)

Japanese mobile operator KDDI Corp. has reported an increase of 325,000 subscribers for November 2006. It was the first month under the mobile number portability (MNP) system. Leading mobile operator NTT DoCoMo reported a decrease of 17,500 subscribers, while Masayoshi Son's Softbank Corp's Softbank Mobile gained 68,700 subscribers and 483,800 new subscribers for its 3G network, offset by 415,000 losses for its 2G network.
At the end of November 2006, DoCoMo holds 55.2 percent, KDDI 28.5 percent, and Softbank Mobile 16.3 percent of the mobile market.
