NTT DoCoMo licenses India's Hutchison Essar to provide i-mode services.(contracts)(Brief article)

Japan's NTT DoCoMo has selected India's Hutchison Essar to provide i-mode cellphone-based Internet services. India's fourth-largest operator will begin to deliver the wireless Internet services in India by the end of 2007. Introduced for the first time in 1999, i-mode services are currently being provided in 15 nations.
NTT DoCoMo states that preparations are being made to extend these services to 10 more nations, including India.
