Foundry Networks FastIron 4802 LAN Switch wins China Computerworld's "Product of The Year 2001" award. (Fiber Optics/Broadband).(Brief Article)

Foundry Networks Inc., a performance and total solutions provider for end-to-end switching and routing, announced that Foundry's FastIron 4802 LAN switch was named "Product of The Year" for 2001 by China Computerworld in the Layer 3 Switch category based on a variety criteria including hardware design, manageability features, scalability, and performance. This is the second major award for the FastIron 4802 since its introduction in June 2001. PC Magazine recently selected the FastIron 4802 for the Editors Choice Award in the High-End Ethernet Switch category.
