Sybase lands China Telecom project for domestic telephone network management system upgrade in 12 provinces. (Other News).(Brief Article)

Sybase, Inc. announced a $2 million contract with China Telecommunications Corporation (China Telecom) in Beijing. Under the terms of the agreement, China Telecom has selected Sybase Adaptive Server Enterprise (ASE) as its relational database management system (RDBMS).

Sybase ASE will support the reengineering of the centralized monitoring management system for over 130 established local networks across China's 12 western provinces and cities, including Chongqing, Gansu, Guangxi, Guizhou, Hubei, Inner Mongolia, Ningxia, Qinghai, Shaanxi, Sichuan, Xinjiang and Yunnan. This contract win demonstrates how Sybase products continue to support the growing demands of the mainland China telecommunications industry.
