China partners with Tektronix to prepare for digital broadcast. (Cable).(plans for digital broadcasting research and development laboratory)(Brief Article)

Tektronix Inc. announced they are partnering with the Academy of Broadcasting Science (ABS) to establish a national digital broadcasting research and development laboratory for China's broadcast industry. ABS is a part of the State Administration of Radio, Film, and TV (SARFT).
"The technical cooperation and partnership between ABS and Tektronix has deepened and widened since Tektronix opened its first office in Beijing in 1985.
