Lucent Technologies wins four new optical contracts in China valued at $15 million. (Broadband and Optical Networks).(Brief Article)

Lucent Technologies announced a series of optical contracts with a combined total of $15 million to supply optical networking systems to carriers in China's Shanghai, Guangdong and Zhejiang regions.
Lucent will be providing systems Shanghai Telecom, Guangdong Unicom, Zhongshan Telecom and Zhejiang Telecom.
Lucent will provide equipment including the LambdaUnite MultiService Switch (MSS), a next-generation optical transport system and switch; numerous multi-service metro access products from Lucent's WaveStar family and network management systems from the Navis Optical Management Solutions family.
