Juniper Networks Inc. and Shanghai Telecom announced the deployment of Juniper Networks ERX Edge Routers for the second stage of a major expansion of Shanghai Telecom's broadband network.
Shanghai Telecom selected the ERX for its comprehensive subscriber management or Broadband Remote Access Server (BRAS) capabilities, wire- speed performance and ability to enhance standard broadband connectivity offerings with innovative IP services.
This deployment will underpin enhancements to both the quality and the range of Shanghai Telecom's broadband services.
