Netease.com reported net income of $4600, an impressive turn since most industry watchers expect China's Internet portals to either be acquired, liquidated, or run afoul with the Chinese government. Netease.com offers e-commerce and web hosting services. To further bolster China's growing Internet market, Sina.com announced it expects to turn a profit by the end of this year, and recently, Sohu.com reported it first pretax profit.
