Cadence Design Systems Inc. and Datang Mobile Communications Equipment Co. Ltd., Beijing, announced a collaborative effort to develop standards-based solutions that can help 3G developers in China and the rest of the world accelerate time to market for mobile communications products. The first solution resulting from this collaboration - a base-band library - fuses Datang's uplink and downlink simulation models with the Cadence Signal Processing Worksystem (SPW), extending the next-generation TD-SCDMA standard to the worldwide audience.
