China Unicom selects Alcatel's Advanced Routing Server to optimize is VoIP network. (VoIP).(Brief Article)

Alcatel announced that its Alcatel 5021 Advanced Routing Server (previously known as IPway 9100) has been selected by China Unicorn to optimize the operator's existing VoIP network. The contract was won through Alcatel Shanghai Bell, the leading telecom supplier in China.
With the combination of the Alcatel 5021 Advanced Routing Server (ARS)'s powerful call control features, flexible policy-based routing functions and advanced digit manipulation capabilities, China Unicorn will be able to offer new advanced services on top of their existing Voice over IP network.
The Alcatel 5021 ARS had already been successfully deployed in Asia Pacific operators' networks such as Singapore Telecommunications (SingTel) and China Netcom.
