OpenTV powers iTV launch for 3.5 million households in Shanghai. (CATV).

OpenTV announced that its largest broadband CATV customer in China, Shanghai Cable Network, officially launched the most advanced interactive television network in China on September 28.
Powered by OpenTV's technologies and applications, the new service is slated to transform the television viewing experience for approximately 3.5 million television households.
Shanghai Cable expects to offer subscribers a complete digital television package that includes advanced interactive features and programming enabled by OpenTV such as near video-on-demand (NVOD), impulse pay-per-view (IPPV), an interactive news magazine, online stock and financial services.
