UTStarcom signs contracts valued at US$47 million for its PAS and IP-based PAS systems with local divisions of China telecom. (Utstarcom News).(southern Chinese provinces telecom deal)(Brief Article)
China Telecom, January, 2003
UTStarcom Inc. announced that it has signed contracts valued at approximately US$47 million with Jiangxi and Zhejiang Telecom, divisions of China Telecom. Under the terms of the contracts, UTStarcom will deploy new, and expand and upgrade, existing PAS and IP-based PAS (Personal Access System) platforms in several cities in the two southern provinces in China.
