China Unicom selects Airspan for deployments in key Guangzhou region and Shenyang.(Broadband Fixed Wireless)(Brief Article)

Airspan Networks Inc., a leading global provider of fixed broadband wireless DSL networks, announced it has been selected by China Unicom Ltd. as the basis for high-performance Broadband Wireless Access (BWA) networks to be deployed in two Chinese regions of Guangzhou and Shenyang by Airspan's local partner Jinpeng. Product shipments will initiate in the next couple of months.
In a recent tender, Airspan secured two of the most lucrative provinces. The award in Guangzhou is one of the most significant fixed wireless deployment awards of all recently announced. Guangzhou is the capital of the Guangdong province, an area which generates more than 25 percent of Unicom's total revenues.
