Motorola selects Sleepycat's Berkeley DB for new A768 business smart phone in China.(Wireless)(Sleepycat Software)

Sleepycat Software, makers of Berkeley DB--the most widely used application-specific data management software in the world with over 200 million deployments--announced that Motorola has selected Berkeley DB for use within its new Motorola A768 Smart Phone just released in China.

Motorola, the number one manufacturer of handsets in China, has adopted key open source technologies from Sleepycat Software, MontaVista Software and Trolltech. The latest Motorola A768 smart phone, designed for corporate users, follows the successful launch of the Motorola A760 model last fall.
