Ericsson and Amoi in China sign license agreement for Mobile Platforms.(Ericsson Mobile Platforms AB)(Amoi Electronics Company Ltd.)(Brief Article)

Amoi Electronics Company Ltd. (Amoi), a premier handset brand in China, has selected Ericsson Mobile Platforms as their 2.5G platform supplier. The license agreement between Ericsson and Amoi covers Amoi's new DA6, a functionality-rich GPRS tri-band handset. This license agreement further underlines Ericsson Mobile Platforms leadership in core handset technology.
"We are very pleased that Amoi, a premium brand and one of the largest handset manufacturers in China, selected us as its platform provider for its GPRS portfolio," says Sandeep Chennakeshu, President Ericsson Mobile Platforms.
Ericsson Mobile Platforms is licensing its GPRS platforms, which are feature rich, complete and well-proven GSM/GPRS platforms from Ericsson.
