Wavesat and ZTE sign agreement for Broadband Wireless OFDM 802.16 based chips.(Business)(Wavesat Wireless Inc.)(Brief Article)

Wavesat, Inc., a developer of OFDM Broadband Wireless Access (BWA) silicon solutions, announced that it has entered into a Cooperative Agreement with ZTE Corp. of Shenzhen, China, to evaluate Wavesat's DM256 chip and confirm that it meets the performance and technology requirements of ZTE's customers.
Both Wavesat and ZTE are members of the WiMAX Forum. They believe that their cooperation will be the catalyst to its commercialization, and will make the Fixed Wireless business case compelling to operators, and also accelerate the deployment of this technology.
