China Mobile penalizes Go2joy.(Mobile)(Brief Article)

China Mobile has come down heavily on the companies that are doing aggressive marketing via SMS, and so far has clamped down on 21 companies. It has suspended the mobile messaging unit of Chinadotcom's Go2joy. Go2joy, among other things, transferred users to the SMS platform without China Mobile's permission and SMSed promotional messages to them.
The company even billed customers who had cancelled their SMS accounts. China Mobile has cancelled applications from Go2joy for their new products and services. Go2joy will not be able to offer services until it conforms to China Mobile's protocol.
