Ericsson announces additional CDMA2000 expansions with China Unicom.(Wireless)(Brief Article)

Ericsson announced additional CDMA2000 1X infrastructure expansion contracts with China Unicom for approximately US$90 million. The contracts cover Jiangsu, Yunnan, Heilongjiang, and Liaoning provinces. Ericsson also announced expansion in Sichuan Province earlier this year.
The contracts include Ericsson's total CDMA2000 1X solution for core and radio network equipment and a full portfolio of services including training, network roll-out, and technical support. All these expansions include Ericsson's radio base station 1140 and 1143, which are part of the Expander portfolio designed to provide cost-effective solutions for high growth markets.
