China Telecom to enhance triple-play service delivery in Zhejiang province with Alcatel's optical networking solution.(FIBER OPTICS)(Brief Article)

Alcatel announced that Zhejiang Telecom, a subsidiary of China Telecom, has selected it to deploy metropolitan optical transport networks in Zhejiang province (Eastern China). Alcatel's multi-service solution will enable Zhejiang Telecom to deliver high-quality triple-play services to business and residential users in the three major provincial cities of Ningbo, Jiaxin, and Wenzhou. The contract was won through Alcatel Shanghai Bell, Alcatel's Chinese flagship company. The project, which is scheduled to be completed by the third quarter of 2005, will allow Zhejiang Telecom to enhance its network capacity to roll out new broadband services, including triple-play services in a fast and flexible way.
