Qiao Xing bags $18 million contract from China Telecom.(WIRELESS)(Brief Article)

Qiao Xing Universal Telephone is a telecom producer and distributor in China. It has won an $18 million deal to supply 30,000 CDMA Wireless Cityphone units to China Telecom's four sub-branches in Yunnan. The subsidiary of Qiao Xing (Huizhou Qiao Xing Communication Industry [HZQXCI]) signed the agreement to sale and purchase.
At present, China Netcom and China Telecom are using CDMA units with 3G frequency band. The product is expected to be delivered to Yunnan from September 2005. The firm is also having discussions with the Guizhou division of China Telecom.
