Thin Multimedia, Inc. launches next generation mobile multimedia solutions with China Unicom.(WIRELESS)(Brief Article)

Thin Multimedia, Inc. (tmi) announced that it is providing China Unicom with its mobile multimedia solutions to deliver advanced video and audio services to all of its BREW-enabled CDMA handsets.
The service will be managed by UniBREW, a joint venture between Qualcomm and China Unicom.
UniBREW will use tmi's proprietary and H.264 solutions to deliver video on demand for both low- and high-end devices. The service provider intends to offer live TV broadcasts and music on demand at a later date.
"Out of many competitors, tmi will be the leader for mobile multimedia solutions in the China market, since TMI enables multimedia services not only on high-end handsets but also on low-end ones," said Mr. James Shen, CEO of UniBrew.
