China Mobile's net profit touched $6.4 billion during 2005.(FINANCIALS)

According to an AFP report, China Mobile's net profit increased by 28.3 percent to touch $6.4 billion in 2005, due to an increase in the number of customers. The net profit of the company during 2004 was $5.1 billion. It was more than the analysts' expectations of $6.2 billion as per polls conducted by Thomson Financial.
The sales of the company rose by 26.3 percent to $30.2 billion during 2005 with a rise in voice business. The voice business revenue increased from $21.4 billion during 2004 to $23.8 billion during 2005. The subscriber base of the company rose by 20.6 percent to 247 million during 2005.
