Chinese Ministry selects Tektronix to test 3G platform.(Tektronix Inc.)(Brief article)

Tektronix stated that China Academy Of Telecommunications Research (CATR), a division of Ministry of Information Industry (MII), has selected it to become the supplier for the 3G network testing. CATR said that the Tektronix K1297-G20 protocol tester and K-015 protocol analyzer would become the standard tools to be used. The package will be installed in the mobile communications laboratory to inspect, test, and provide certifications for telecom products and mobile equipment. K-015 protocol analyzer will be used to track the performance and the interoperability of the 3G networks across standards like TD-SCDMA, WCDMA, and CDMA2000.

K1297, along with TD-SCDMA NodeB, would in turn allow CATR to set the TD-SCDMA UE testing platform for validation of the same.
