Hutchison Telecommunication Hong Kong subsidiary 3 Hong Kong and Development Bank of Singapore (DBS) have joined hands to offer share-trading services through mobile phones. Customers can now trade in selected stocks and warrants using their 3G mobile sets. They will also be able to receive real-time updates and price movements of shares.
This facility is currently available only on the Hong Kong exchange. DBS announced that the number of orders placed through its Internet banking gateway increased by 77 percent in the last two years.
