UTStarcom gets deal from China Telecom to deploy RollingStream for IPTV network.(IPTV)

UTStarcom has won a contract from China Telecom for deploying its RollingStream end-to-end solution for the latter's IPTV network in Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region. According to Brian Caskey, vice president of worldwide marketing for UTStarcom, the company's RollingStream, which serves around 270,000 users, is one of the more popular IPTV platforms in the country.
It has been used in over 13 provinces in China. In Ningxia, the IPTV network would initially support 10,000 users and provide 52 TV and radio programs, 48-hour television program recording, and much more. UTStarcom has extensive knowledge and experience in deploying IP-based networks.
