Alcatel-Lucent to provide optimization services to China Unicom and China Mobile's wireless networks.(WIRELESS)

China Unicom's 3 subsidiaries have appointed Alcatel-Lucent for the provision of network optimization services for wireless networks in Guizhou, Shanghai, and Shanxi. China Unicom's subsidiary, Inner Mongolia Unicom, also chose Alcatel-Lucent for CDMA network optimization. Alcatel-Lucent will help plan the three China Mobile subsidiaries' network development, enabling them to offer new services and gather new revenue.
It will provide tailor-made service solutions for network coverage enhancement and performance, while improving efficiency. The project's completion is estimated for the end of 2007.
