Alcatel-Lucent signs deal with China Unicom and China Mobile.(BUSINESS)

According to a Reuters report, Alcatel-Lucent said that it has inked $1.1 billion in framework deals in China. Around 60 percent of this amount was obtained from new deals. The report said that the equipment group has signed these deals with China Unicom and China Mobile. The solutions from Alcatel-Lucent will allow the two Chinese telecom operators to boost the capacity and coverage of their cellular networks in order to address the increased demand for robust mobile services.
