Versatel Telecom International NV, a datacommunications network company has signed fiber optic network deals worth $1.2 million with a local container and security company.

Versatel said in a statement the deal was with Rotterdam Europe Container Terminals (ECT) and Initial Varel Alarmcentraleservice. Versatel offers high speed Internet access over its fiber optic network in the Benelux countries and Germany and targets small and medium sized enterprises.
