TDC Mobile to source 3G systems from Nokia.(DENMARK)(TDC Mobile International A/S)(third generation)(Brief Article)

Denmark-based telecom firm TDC Mobile has entered into an agreement with mobile manufacturer Nokia for the provision of WCDMA 3G radio-access infrastructure. TDC is preparing to unveil its 3G services in early October 2005. This is the first WCDMA 3G system contract that Nokia has secured in Denmark.

The mobile-phone maker will start supplying the 3G equipment to TDC Mobile in October 2005. Apart from delivering the hardware for TDC's 3G services, Nokia will also be in charge of implementing, monitoring, and maintaining the network. Nokia has already been supplying GSM radio hardware and the GPRS solution to TDC. The Danish Company has also signed a deal with Ericsson two years back for the provision of WCDMA gear.
