Mobistar chooses Ericsson for providing managed services.(BELGIUM)(Telefonaktiebolaget LM Ericsson)(Brief article)

Belgium-based Mobistar has chosen Ericsson for a managed services deal worth around $389.64 million. Around 150 employees of Mobistar will be transferred to Ericsson. As a part of this agreement, Mobistar has selected Ericsson for managing some parts of its network activities throughout this year.

This five-year deal is likely to be operational from the second quarter of 2007. The executive vice president and head of global services at Ericsson, Hans Vestberg, said that the fact that Mobistar had chosen Ericsson as a partner proved that the company has a great reputation with regard to managed services, and that operators all around the world have shown confidence in its capability to provide high-quality network services.
