Intel Capital and MCI Management announced investing in Nexcom Bulgaria, the alternative Bulgarian telecoms operator that is currently building a nationwide WiMAX network. Nexcom's co-founder and chairman, Chris Haller, said, "Nexcom was the first operator in Bulgaria to deliver WiMAX-based voice and Internet services. Over the next twelve months Nexcom plans to continue rapid deployment of its national WiMAX network, providing bundled voice and Internet services in 24 Bulgarian cities and resort towns."
Nexcom's optimistic brand equity, along with the insufficient development of telecommunications infrastructure in a lot of underserved Bulgaria, has won the company contracts with several big corporate accounts interested in its services, while by the end of...
