Inmarsat wins $720 million European Space Agency contract.(ACROSS THE REGION)

Inmarsat has won a $745.19 million European Space Agency (ESA) deal for developing Europe's satellite program. This project will get a financial funding of $74.51 million from the London Development Agency, East of England Development Agency, and South East England Development Agency. The satellite, named Alphasat I-XL, is the world's most advanced satellite for civilian applications.

It would be able to support a range of cellular technologies and lead to improved communications in Europe and Africa. According to the South East England Development Agency, the deal would bring great economic benefits in South East England.
