Ericsson to be solution provider and prime integrator of MAN for seven Greek cities.(SWEDEN)

Ericsson has been selected to be the comprehensive solution provider and prime integrator of MANs (metropolitan area networks) for seven digital cities in Greece.

According to the terms of the contracts, Ericsson would be responsible for supplying and rolling out fiber-optic telecom networks in Chania, Agrinio, Ermoupolis, Ierapetra, Kozani, Irakilo, and Rethymno. In the first phase networks would connect municipal buildings like general hospitals, town halls, etc.

This would improve public infrastructure and would lead to provision of high-speed broadband services.
