TP to begin pilot for a 50Mbps Internet service in Warsaw.(POLAND)

Poland-based telecommunications operator Telekomunikacja Polska (TP) will commence a pilot for Internet service, supporting speeds of 50Mbps. Recently, TP had rolled out a fiber-optic infrastructure in a new building in western Warsaw for starting a 50/ 10Mbps Internet access pilot.

The company used fiber-to-the-home (FTTH) technology for the pilot. During the trial service, residents subscribing to the 50Mbps multipackage would need to pay a monthly fee of $19.76.

The service package includes 50/ 10Mbps Internet service via Livebox FTTH modem, "Neostrada" Internet access service, and a voice-over-Internet Protocol (VoIP) calling plan, among other features.
