Portugal Telecom plans to integrate PT.com and PT Corporate into its PT Comunicacoes division.(PORTUGAL)

Portugal Telecom is planning to merge its Internet division, PT.com, as well as its PT Corporate large-client unit, into PT Comunicacoes division, according to Jornal de Negocios. The newspaper quoted an unnamed source as saying that the company would undertake the restructuring for corporate reasons.

However, the source refused to disclose the estimated cost savings from this move. Jornal de Negocios also stated that the merger of PT Corporate and PT.com into PT Comunicacoes would result in tax savings.
