The U.S. Department of Commerce announced the launch of a new Web site dedicated to assisting American innovators and entrepreneurs secure intellectual property rights at home and abroad. The site, www.StopFakes.gov, is an element of the Bush administration's "Strategy Targeting Organized Piracy" (STOP) initiative. The initiative is designed to protect American businesses and their products from counterfeiters and pirates.

StopFakes.gov contains a pamphlet on protecting intellectual property, key government links for help with intellectual property issues, a guide to U.S. government resources for protecting intellectual property and a "China IPR Toolkit" with suggestions regarding what American companies can do to protect intellectual property in China and...
