Two of China's major telecom equipment companies, Zhongxing Telecom Co Ltd. and Huawei have firmed up their plans to manufacture in India. Both companies would begin their India operations initially with CDMA-based fixed wireless terminals (FWTs).
While Zhongxing Telecom has already begun operations at its new facility at Manesar, Huawei is planning to set up a manufacturing facility through a 100% subsidiary in India.
