Infosys, Satyam to benefit from Telstra's job-cut plan.(Infosys Technologies Ltd., Satyam Computer Services Ltd., Telstra Corporation Ltd.)(Brief Article)

India Telecom, December, 2005

Infosys Technologies and Satyam Computers could get a few jobs from Telstra, the Australian telecommunications company. Infosys presently has a deal worth $50 million for five years with Telstra, while Satyam is carrying out various projects for Telstra. Telstra has recently announced a downsize of 12,000 jobs as a part of its strategy to cut costs and increase cash flow.

The job cut would entail outsourcing of jobs, and that is where the Indian vendors are set to benefit.
