Hutchison Telecom cleans up before IPO.(MERGERS AND ACQUISITIONS)

Hutchison Telecommunications International Ltd., a part of the Hutchison Wampoa group, is planning to list itself on the Indian bourses. The company has already started reorganizing itself by having a simpler group structure. According to recent reports, Analjit Singh of Max India bought 8.3 percent in Hutch's Indian arm for Rs 10.19 billion ($230 million).

Currently, Hutchison Essar Ltd. has been valued at $6 billion. After the transfer of shares to Max India, Hutchison Whampoa Ltd. is expected to hold 49.62 percent stake in Hutchison Essar while the Essar group will hold 33 percent.
