Dikulushi optimism.(Anvil Mining NL reaches agreement with Rand Merchant Bank)(Brief Article)

Anvil Mining NL has reached an agreement with South Africa's Rand Merchant Bank regarding the financing of Anvil's 90%-owned Dikulushi copper project in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. The financing takes the form of a purchase of 3.64 million shares in Anvil for A$200,000, plus a debt facility to fund preliminary work at the project.

In addition, an agreement was reached for A$4.5 million in project financing, pending the provision of political risk insurance. Anvil's executive director, Bill Turner, says that the situation in the Democratic Republic of the Congo is "now very different from that of six months ago".
