ConocoPhillips awards $6,500 grant to the local Red Cross
Bellingham Business Journal, Oct, 2008
The Mt. Baker Chapter of the American Red Cross received a grant of $6,500 from ConocoPhillips in support of local Red Cross efforts.
The grant is committed to the Real Heroes Dinner Celebration. The awards banquet dinner is the primary annual fundraiser of the local Red Cross chapter with a 2008 goal of more than $120,000. All proceeds of the event support local disaster relief services.
The celebration dinner will take place Nov. 13. It is an opportunity for community members to be recognized and awards are given to those who have modeled the Red Gross mission to prevent, prepare or respond to emergencies through acts of selflessness and valor.
The Mt. Baker Chapter is now accepting nominations online at www.mtbredcross.org.
