Donation jump starts WWU's Karen W. Morse institute

Bellingham Business Journal, Oct, 2008

Jack Bowman, Western Washington University graduate and retired head of Johnson & Johnson, and Jo Ann Bowman have donated $1 million to the university's new Karen W Morse Institute for Leadership. The institute is named in honor of WWU President Emeritus Karen Morse.

The $1 million gift will be the foundation of the new institute, and fully endow the Bowman Family Distinguished Professor of Leadership Studies, a position that will focus on curricular innovation, teaching, and scholarship that advances the understanding and application of leadership.
