Fisher & Sons wins award for Wilson Motors project
Bellingham Business Journal, June, 2009
At the recent Washington Aggregates and Concrete Association awards banquet, Fisher & Sons won an Excellence in Concrete Construction award for the Wilson Motors project in Bellingham.
As the award winner in the pervious concrete division, the project was recognized because of both its size, which was nearly 100,000 square feet of surface, and the valuable environmental role the paving performs in keeping run-off out of the nearby Whatcom Creek.
As general contractor on the project, Fisher & Sons teamed with Ferndale Ready Mix & Gravel, 20/20 Engineering and Civil, and with Sid Nesbit as architect. The Wilson Motors project was completed in the fall of 2008.
