BOSS Construction wins industry award

BOSS Construction of Bellingham was recently honored with an award in the Special Applications: Technical Merit category for their Cushman Dam No. 2 Right Abutment Concrete Buttress Project at Lake Cushman, Washington.
Also recognized was the Ready Mix Supplier from Miles Sand & Gravel Company. The 2009 Awards for Excellence in Concrete Construction, which is hosted by the Washington Aggregates and Concrete Association, was held in Bellevue. There were 13 categories recognized, with up to 3 finalists in each category. ,
The project work area included over 180 feet of vertical rock face and involved the use of a uniquely modified crane anchored on the dam to assist in the excavation of 2,350 cubic yards of native soil and the placement of 4,882 cubic yards of concrete.
