Surely the only rubber executive to have stood on top of the world's highest mountain, Katsutoshi Hirabayashi now has the task of doubling Sumitomo Rubber Industries' general rubber goods sales

In 1971, less than 50 people had reached the summit of Mount Everest, the world's highest mountain; Katsutoshi Hirabayashi was one them. Now, Hirabayashi is in charge of Sumitomo Rubber Industry's non-tyre rubber goods division, and has the task of generating an extra [Yen]50 billion ($400 million) in sales revenue by 2001.

He does not say which is the easier task.
